The Ichijodani Asakura Clan Ruins Trail Run will reach its 10th edition in 2026, counting from the very first race in 2015. We are pleased to announce the official race guidelines for this milestone event.
The biggest news this year is the return of the Kids’ Course (approx. 3 km). Born from our wish to share the thrill of running through these historic ruins with the next generation, the Kids’ Course is back. The course is currently being finalized.

A Race Built on History & Hospitality
History: Set in the Ichijodani Asakura Clan Ruins, a nationally triple-designated historic site. Sengoku warriors in helmets and armor stand along the course, drawing runners into the age of the samurai.
Hospitality: Smiles and greetings from our staff and cheers for every runner; local food and souvenirs you can enjoy with shopping vouchers; well-stocked aid stations. After the finish, students of the Fukui Prefectural School for the Blind offer acupuncture and moxibustion massage to soothe tired bodies.
